Over The Moon About The Adult Moonstone Dragon From WizKids
by Anton Kromoff
Welcome to the table,
The lore of dragons in the TTRPG space has always been a favorite of mine. The selfish chromatic dragons and the law-bringing metallics are for sure entities that have extensive material written on them. The far more obscure dragons are really fun to dig in and learn more about as they bring a certain level of mystery and awe to your tabletop space.
WizKids has delivered another phenomenal offering from their Dungeons & Dragons Icons of the Realms pre-painted miniature line, this time in the form of the Adult Moonstone Dragon.

It’s always fun to drop a Moonstone dragon at the table because they are very rare and like other gem dragons, they can bring magic into the equation with multiple illusions, causing all sorts of perception-altering effects.
The sculpt that WizKids brings to market with this miniature is nothing short of phenomenal. The scale work on the limbs and tail have a great texture. The body is large and curved, captured in a very versatile pose that could be used to showcase an appearance in a dreamlike vision or preparing to attack with multiple breath weapons and spells at the ready. The clear base and stand becomes even more striking when you pair it with a battle mat, as you do not lose environmental art under an opaque base. The wings of this mini are impressive but very delicate. I would not give this one to little kids to play with too hard, but it is for sure a showstopper at the weekly D&D game.
This is really a rad miniature. If you are a collector or fan of the dragons in the D&D space, this is going to be one you have to get for your gaming table and your shelf.
