‘Phoenix’ Is Fire & Life In First Variant Covers

Jean Grey has long been one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe, an omega class mutant and one of the many bearers of the power of the Phoenix. This summer, she takes flight in an ongoing series as part of Marvels X-Men From The Ashes relaunch.

Coming from Stephanie Phillips and Alessandro Miracolo, the series will follow Jean as she fulfills her cosmic destiny. In the wake of Krakoa’s finale, Jean once again holds the power of the Phoenix. She has the power to save the universe. Yet, every choice she makes will save or destroy.

The first round of variants, revealing a better look at Jean’s new costume, comes from Aka and Rose Besch. Longtime X-Men artist Greg Land– known for Phoenix Endsong among other popular stories- also contributes a cover depicting Jean’s lowest moment as the Dark Phoenix.
