The ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer Dropped This Morning And It Is Delightful!

Back when the Deadpool series by Joe Kelly and Ed Mcguinness dropped in 2004 I found myself becoming a big fan of this goofball “merc with a mouth.” The Speed jokes, Sasquatch, Hulk, Patch, Weezle, Blind Al, and T-Ray were among the small amount of weird stuff that really worked for me and Ed McGuinness’ art is some of my favorite work industry-wide.
I fell off the fandom of the character as he seemed to infuse himself into every facet of fanboy-dom, in an almost cringy way. But when my bestie Cullen Bunn took over on the title, that whole ship righted itself and I really loved what he was doing with the character.
On to the films! The first movie was way more amusing than I thought it would be, thanks to Ryan Reynolds making the character seem unhinged, but grounded in a weirdly perfect way. The second movie was even more enjoyable and something I return to on the regular to watch.
This third movie… well… I mentioned my bestie was Cullen Bunn… and this movie is about an annoying try-hard and his grumpy best friend, both seemingly beaten down by the world and somehow unkillable regardless of what is thrown at them. One is super cool and talented, and the other somehow lucks himself into situations always happening to be at the wrong place at the right time… yeah, I think I will enjoy the hell of this.
