Blue Eye Samurai is a visceral and visually stunning adult animated series about a mixed-race swords-woman seeking revenge in Edo-era Japan. Thanks to a stream hosted by Gnomon School of Digital Arts we’re able to get a deeper look behind the scenes of Blue Eye Samurai.
The panelists include Producer and Supervising Director Jane Wu, Production Designer Toby Wilson, Art Director Emil Mitev, Character Lead Brian Kesinger, and Art Director James Wood Wilson. The creative team discuss 2D/3D hybrid animation and the benefits of using animation to tell grounded mature stories.
