Projekt Cars’ Carlos Molina Talks Comics, Custom Cars, And Conventions

I met Carlos Molina of El Paso-based Projekt Cars at Las Vegas ToyCon 2024. We started talking about the custom Spider-Mobile he had displayed in the Las Vegas Toy Shack booth. That led to Projekt Cars’ collaboration with Todd McFarlane on a series of Spawn-themed custom vehicles that opened a door for many more customs projects and opportunities across automotive and pop culture fandoms. 

All of this fascinated me, so when I got a chance to sit down with Carlos in the Comicon virtual studio, I jumped. He told me all about hanging out with the Spawnfather, building custom comics-themed cars, and SoldierCon El Paso, Carlos’ effort to bring the pop culture convention experience to servicemembers and their families.
