Art For Art’s Sake: Lake Como Artists Special (Part 1)

Bringing you two of our favourite things – great comic festivals and great comic art, we’re taking a look at the comics work of the full line-up of guests at the wonderful Lake Como Comic Art Festival, in a series of Art For Art’s Sake specials…

Lake Como Comic Art Festival happens this year on Friday May 17th to Sunday May 19th at the Villa Erba in Cernobbio, Lake Como, Italy. In truly beautiful surroundings it gives comic fans from all over the world a chance to meet and mix with some of the greatest comic artists in the world.

Attendance is capped at 1,000 meaning that this is not only the most beautiful but also one of the most relaxed and stress-free comic festivals you’ll ever visit, with plenty of time and space to enjoy the surroundings and the art, together with 70 world-class comic artists.

And this year’s line-up of artist guests is, as always, absolutely packed with talent. In fact, originally I was going to just highlight a few of them in one Art For Art’s Sake special but, on looking at the names and at their art, I simple couldn’t narrow it down at all, meaning that you’ll be seeing selections of the art of every one of the festival’s 2024 guests here over the next few days. Believe me, it’s worth taking a long look!
