Dynamite Announces ‘Darkwing Duck’ Kickstarter Campaign To Reprint Classic Comics

True to its word, Dynamite is getting ready to reprint vintage Darkwing Duck comics.
The company announced a Kickstarter campaign to bring the long-in-the-works plan to fruition. When it first began publishing comics based on the Disney Afternoon characters, Dynamite always planned to bring long out-of-print Darkwing material into a collected edition. Between Disney Adventures strips and full comic runs across the years, there is plenty to reprint. Although full details remain under wraps for the moment — other than the material will be available across three volumes — the publisher is encouraging fans to sign up for updates over at the campaign’s landing page. Indeed, over 1400 fans of DW have already found the page and signed up.
Dynamite’s current Darkwing series, by writer Amanda Deibert and artist Carlos Lauro, began in January 2023 and finished that November with a spinoff focused on Negaduck and the currently running Justice Ducks series continuing the tale. Volume 1 of the series, collecting issues #1-6, was published in April.
