‘The Star Named EOS’ Confirmed For PS5 And Xbox Series

Developer Silver Lining Studio and publisher Playism have confirmed their puzzle-adventure title, The Star Named Eos, is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. This information comes at the same time as the trailer announcing a key member in the game’s voiceover cast, and just in time for people to try out the demo on Steam, which has been updated with voice acting.
Suzie Yeung (Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII Remake) will be playing the main character Dei’s mother for the English dub, while Aoi Yuki (Madoka Magica) will handle the Japanese VO, and Shandy Ma will do the Chinese dub.

The Star Named EOS is a story-rich puzzle adventure built around photography. Explore a beautiful hand-drawn world as you photograph some of the most precious yet fleeting moments in life. As you recreate photos from the past, you will slowly uncover the truth of a family mystery, and the love hidden within fragmented memories will eventually become clear.
As the young photographer Dei, the player sets off on a journey following in the footsteps of his absent mother. When he was a young child, Dei received letters from his mother on her travels. They always included a beautiful picture of places she visited.
But one day, Dei notices something strange in the photos that threatens to overturn everything he’s ever believed in. With the guidance of his mother’s voice ringing from deep within his heart, he takes the first step on a journey to discover the truth of his mother’s absence…
Having appeared at last year’s Wholesome Direct, The Star Named Eos looks like it has a ton of potential as yet another great indie title for gamers to take note of. As we get closer to Summer Game Fest season, hopefully we’ll get another look at it and tons of other incredible indie titles. The industry desperately needs more games that don’t place all their focus on action.
The Star Named Eos will also be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC sometime this summer.
