‘Destiny 2: The Final Shape’ Gets A Launch Trailer

by Sage Ashford

Bungie has released a launch trailer for the upcoming Destiny 2 expansion, Destiny 2: The Final Shape. The last currently known expansion, The Final Shape introduces a ton of brand-new content.  Mentioned on their website is a new Subclass–the Prismatic, which combines Arc, Solar, Void, Strand, and Stasis together for a custom subclass. Also mentioned is a new location to travel to, The Pale Heart, where players will battle against the new main enemy, the Witness.

The Witness isn’t working alone though, as a new enemy type joins the game in The Dread, a collection of enemies from the darkest corners of reality. Fortunately, they’ve added a ton of new weapons for players to fight back and protect their homes with.  They’ve also worked out the post-launch content, with their seasons being replaced by Episodes, split into three Acts that launch every six weeks.  Each Act will have new stories, quests, activities, weapons, and more.  The first three Episodes are Echoes, Revenant, and Heresy, all launching in the year of The Final Shape.

Potentially, The Final Shape is Bungie’s last ride with Destiny 2, especially as they continue work on Marathon and rumors of a Destiny 3 abound. Still, for now fans can look forward to The Final Shape when it launches June 4th.
