Ryan Gosling’s Cult Classic Heist Movie ‘Drive’ Is Racing To 4K And Blu-ray In August

Director Nicolas Winding Refn‘s flashy, slow-burn neo-noir Drive — with its neon-drenched atmosphere, brutal violence, and nearly wordless Ryan Gosling performance — is sure to dazzle in 4K UHD when it’s released on August 27th.
Gosling stars as a Hollywood stunt driver whose side gig is acting as a getaway wheelman for bank robbers. Known only as “The Driver,” he soon develops a risky relationship with his beautiful neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), who has her own troubles in the form of an ex-convict husband (Oscar Isaac). The Driver’s troubles intensify after a heist goes wrong, and he runs afoul of a criminal syndicate led by a cast-against-type Albert Brooks.
The high-octane cast also includes Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, and Ron Perlman.
Drive will be presented in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision, as approved by Refn, in Dolby Atmos + English 5.1 sound, with a second Blu-ray disc.
Special features on the 4K disc include a new featurette called Back in the Driver’s Seat featuring interviews with Refn, Hendricks, Perlman, writer Hossein Amini, editor Mat Newman, composer Cliff Martinez, and the theatrical trailer.
On the Blu-ray disc, the supplements include an interview with Refn, and four featurettes.
