Alex Garland’s ‘Civil War’ Is Ready To Wage War In 4K

Writer-director Alex Garland‘s (Annihilation, Ex Machina) divisive thriller Civil War is arriving on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital from Lionsgate on July 9th — just a few days after Independence Day.
In the near future, America is at war with itself, although the film largely keeps the conflict’s details and motivations obscured. Kirsten Dunst leads a team of war correspondents on a harrowing journey across a desolate, war-torn landscape from NYC to DC. It’s there that coalition forces are closing in on the White House in order to take out the despotic president (Nick Offerman).
Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and a scene-stealing Jesse Plemons also star.
Special features include a six-part documentary called “Waging Alex Garland’s Civil War,” and the theatrical trailer. An exclusive Amazon Blu-ray will also include a Q&A with Garland and cast members.
