Breaking! – Ultraman takes over Time Square!
by Anton Kromoff
Welcome to the table,
Those of you who have seen episodes of Happy Hour or checked out our coverage of giant robots and the kaiju who fight them, you already know we have a deep love for all things big and battling and Ultraman stands among the pantheon of huge heroes who handle harrowing high rise sized horrors!
Whew… that was a mouthful!

To celebrate the upcoming release of Ultraman: Rising, the latest film in the series preparing to make its way to Netflix on June 14, Tsuburaya Productions is joining Netflix and one of my favorites Bandai Namco for an action-packed Times Square activation! This activation is going to feature super rad digital billboards and a massive storefront display with a range of Ultraman collectibles at the Tamashii Nations Store right in the heart of the Square.

For those new to the world of Ultraman, Ultraman was created by Japanese special effects director, filmmaker, and cinematographer Eiji Tsuburaya, and first debuted in 1966 in the television series Ultra Q. Over the last 58 years, the Ultraman franchise has unfolded into a webwork of television series, films, miniseries, and video games to the delight of its ever-growing fanbase.

Aligning with the film’s release on Netflix, Bandai Namco will unleash a new must-have Ultraman collectible, the S.H. Figuarts Ultraman for Ultraman: Rising, which will be available at Tamashii Nations in Times Square so if you are in the area or can travel, you want to go grab yours before it’s gone!

In addition to the Times Square display, you are also going to want to check out the additional Ultraman: Rising toy line offerings at Bandai Namco’s first dedicated retail store in the United States, which recently had its grand opening at American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Until next time, Humanity must protect the Earth with its own hands!
