Dev Patel’s ‘Monkey Man’ Ready To Crack Skulls On Streaming, 4K UHD, And Blu-ray Disc

Get ready to feel every gut punch, face kick, and bone crunch in 4K when Dev Patel‘s ferocious action film Monkey Man makes its debut on Digital, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray later this month.
Produced by Jordan Peele, Monkey Man marks the directorial debut of actor Patel (Slumdog Millionaire, Lion), transplanting the John Wick/Atomic Blonde/Taken hand-to-hand combat revenge formula to an unnamed city in India. There, the cruel, exploitative ruling class and corrupt cops come face-to-face (and fist-to-fist) with a stoic, well-dressed man known only as “Bobby” (Patel). Trained in the brutal underground boxing community, Bobby infiltrates the inner circles of the city’s elite and gets vengeance for a brutal childhood tragedy, while also standing up for society’s poor and downtrodden.
The film also stars Sharlto Copley, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, and Pitobash Tripathi.
The physical releases come with over 55 minutes of all-new bonus features, including an alternate opening, an alternate ending, and six deleted scenes. Several behind the scenes featurettes include a look at Patel’s stunt and fight training, and an exploration of the folktale of Hanuman that inspired the film. Patel also contributes an audio commentary alongside producers Jomon Thomas and Sam Sahni, and co-producer Raghuvir Joshi.
Monkey Man arrives on digital June 11th, and begins steaming exclusively on Peacock on June 14. It will then be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on June 25th.
