‘Sky Oceans: Wings For Hire’ Brings Back The Classic JRPG Feeling

Octeto Studios and PQube revealed a gameplay trailer for their upcoming sky pirate title, Sky Oceans: Wings For Hire. I’m not sure the classic JRPG ever really went anywhere, but with titles like this they certainly won’t be leaving again anytime soon. A self-described “homage to JRPG classics”, Sky Oceans puts the player in the role of a captain looking to fight back against an overbearing “Alliance”.
Aside from pushing back against this Alliance though, players will travel the world on their hunt for new air pirates, while also gaining the resources to make their ships more powerful. With a classic Studio Ghibli-esque animation style, this game is bound to make people nostalgic even if they weren’t around in that era.
