WizKids Makes A ‘Critical Role’ Calamity Look Good

by Anton Kromoff

Welcome to the table,

Matt Mercer knows how to weave a good story. His understanding of time and the way it can sculpt the landscape of group storytelling has always been one of the things I most enjoyed about watching him guide a table.

One of the coolest creations that has come from the Critical Role space is the Age of Arcanum. It’s this time period when mortals were pushing the limits of magic and wielding powerful necromantic spells with reckless abandon. The always spectacular Brennan Lee Mulligan ran a game set during the last moments of this age, called Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, which was set in the floating city of Avalir and was one of the coolest mini-campaigns that Critical Role has done to date.

The good people at WizKids have captured the characters of this campaign in stunning mini-form with their Critical Role: Exandria Unlimited Calmity boxed set.

This epic boxed set features Cerrit Agrupnin Guardian of the Seventh, played by powerhouse Travis Willingham; Laerryn Coramar-Seelie, played by the wildly talented Aabria Iyengar; Loquatius Seelie, played by the charming and chaotic Sam Riegal; Nydas Okiro, played by one of my favorite people in the TTRPG space, Lou Wilson; Patia Por’co, who is played by creative director and real-life bad a$$ Marisha Ray; and Zerxus Ilerez, played by star of screens big and small Luis Carazo.

I love when WizKids does these sets because you can score a whole collection of minis at once and they have always been high-quality sculpts with rad paint jobs. You can pre-order your set of Critical Role Clamity miniatures at this link!

Until next time, I hope one day we can get a cool printed version of Brennan’s “A Player’s Guide to Calamity” document … because that would be rad!
