‘Life Is Strange: Double Exposure’ Brings Back A Fan-Favorite Character
by Sage Ashford
Square-Enix and Deck Nine have announced the next installment in the Life is Strange franchise, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, at Xbox Games Showcase. In this new game, players return to the life of Max Caulfield as she deals with a murder mystery following the discovery that her friend Safi was murdered. Attempting to use her ability to rewind time, Max instead gains the ability to jump into a different timeline, one where her friend is still alive. Using those powers, Max tries to prevent her friend’s death in one realm by solving the mystery and prevent it from occurring at all in the other.
This is easily one of the biggest surprises of the Summer Game Fest season. While it has been three years since Life is Strange: True Colors released, there still weren’t many rumors about this surfacing. Even more surprising is the game’s release is only a few months away. Could this mark a change in how Square-Enix announces their games going forward?
Life is Strange: Double Exposure launches October 29th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
