Koei Tecmo’s Fairy Tail RPG Releases March 20th

After announcing an RPG based on the popular anime series just a few short months ago, Gust and Koei-Tecmo have already confirmed the release date of the upcoming game. More from Gust/Koei-Tecmo below:
GUST Studios announces five new playable characters joining the fray – ‘Sky God Slayer’ Sherria Blendy from Lamia Scale, the ‘Strongest Fencer’ Kagura Mikazuchi from Mermaid Heel, the ‘Handsome’ Blue Pegasus mage Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki, and the ‘White Dragon’ Sting Eucliffe and ‘Shadow Dragon’ Rogue Cheney from Sabertooth. With more than 12 playable characters available, players will able to form a dream team with Fair Tail members and their rivals and set off on an adventure like never before.
As mentioned above, this trailer confirms multiple new characters — meaning it won’t just be the primary Fairy Tail characters working together during this storyline, which will adapt the end of the Tenrou Island saga and cover the entire Tartaros Arc. The trailer mentions a pre-order bonus in the form of a special Erza costume, but also a Digital Deluxe version that includes a new set of “Grand Magic Games” costumes, a bonus Lacrima set, and a special Lucy costume where she dresses like Ryza from the Atelier Ryza game.
Fairy Tail will be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 20th, 2020.
