Thanos’ Hunt For The Infinity Stones Ends In September’s ‘Infinity Watch’ Annuals
by Tony Thornley
Marvel’s Infinity Gauntlet is one of the most powerful artifacts in fiction. A few years ago, the Infinity Gems transformed into new forms- people. This summer, Thanos hunts this new Infinity Watch through Marvel’s summer annuals.

Starting in June’s Thanos Annual #1, the story will weave through the Marvel Universe, wrapping up the story in September. Led by Derek Landy & Sara Pichelli and featuring other creative superstars, the story will shape the future of the Infinity Stones and Thanos, as the Mad Titan hunts for the mysterious new Death Stone bearer. And if the world thought Thanos was dangerous, wait until you see the stones in the hands of the villainess and Reality Stone wielder Star!

In September, the story concludes in the annuals for Moon Knight by Dan Watters, Derek Landy & Sara Pichelli; Spider-Boy by Steve Foxe & Carlos Nieto; and The Avengers by Landy and Salvador Larroca.
On crafting the latest Infinity Stones saga, Landy said, “When you write for Marvel, it’s all you can hope for to add your thread to the massive tapestry of stories that has been unfolding since 1961. To be asked, then, to spearhead this next chapter is a prospect beyond my paltry imagination. I get to work on characters I’ve never written before — Thanos! Hulk! — and drag them into the story beside the new generation of heroes like Ms. Marvel and Spider-Boy. Thankfully, there is absolutely no pressure because comic fans are a notoriously easy-going bunch who are prepared to forgive if—oh dear God.”
Check out the covers by Larroca and watch for the Infinity Watch in annuals all summer long from Marvel Comics.
