The classic 1992 comedy A League of Their Own is stepping up the the plate for a brand new 4K/Blu-ray combo release from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment this September.
Boasting an all-star roster including Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, and Madonna, A League of Their Own is based on the true story of the World War II-era All-American Girls Baseball League who blazed a new trail for professional female athletes. Dottie Hinson (Davis) leads a rag tag group of players trying to win games while winning over their cranky, has-been coach Jimmy Dugan (Hanks). Directed by comedy maestro Penny Marshall, it also stars Lori Petty, Rosie O’Donnell, and Jon Lovitz.
