by Olly MacNamee
The Middlewest and The Me You Love In The Dark creative team, writer Skottie Young and artist Jorge Corona’s Ain’t No Grave #1 and #2 have sold out again at the distributor level and are being rushed back to print this week to keep up with the fan demand. The Ain’t No Grave #1 gets a third printing with a black and white version of the first printing cover art with the cover art for Ain’t No Grave #2 second printing featuring a sepia-toned re-colour.

“Once again, I cannot thank you all enough for the continuous support that has led to this third printing of Ain’t No Grave #1,” said Corona. “We have poured so much work and love into this book and this kind of response really makes it all worth it. Thanks!”
Young added:
“Wow! The response to Ain’t No Grave has been amazing! I can’t tell you how much we appreciate all of you retailers and readers for supporting us telling these stories!”
A macabre Western/Fantasy mash-up it’s described in the PR as “an Unforgiven-style journey through a Guillermo Del Toro-esque lens”. Here’s the preview for the first issue to give you an even better idea of what you’re missing:
“Ryder put her violent past behind her when she fell in love and became a mother. But that was before she learned it was all going to be taken away. Now she’ll have to pick up her guns once again and ride to kill the one behind the threat. Who just happens to be Death.”
Ain’t No Grave #1 third printing and Ain’t No Grave #2 second printing will both be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, July 17th from Image Comics.
Ain’t No Grave #3 will be out a week earlier on Wednesday, July 10th and Ain’t No Grave #4 will be available on Wednesday, August 7th.
