‘The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II: Crimson Sin’ Localization Is Accidentally Spoiled

by Sage Ashford

There’s less than a week remaining before The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak releases worldwide, but PlayStation Network has accidentally spoiled that the next game in the franchise might be closer to release than everyone thinks. Some eagle-eyed people have spotted that digital versions of Trails Through Daybreak II: Crimson Sin are currently displaying an English logo for the game on PlayStation Network (RPGSite managed to capture the screens), alongside the hilariously on the nose tagline “Day will break again.”

The Trails franchise has always been pretty far behind in localization compared to the Japanese releases. Currently, the series is two games behind thanks to Daybreak I and II, and while the first game releases July 5th, Falcom’s next entry in the long-running Trails franchise, Farewell O Zemuria, releases in Japan this September. Is it possible Daybreak II could come out at the end of the year, or early 2025, to finally put an end to the massive gap between games?  Whatever the answer, fans won’t have to wait very long for the reveal, though. NIS America has a panel scheduled at AnimeExpo on July 5th.
