What Are ‘The 8 Deaths Of Spider-Man’?

Later this year, Zeb Wells’ nearly 75 issue run of Amazing Spider-Man comes to an end. What will follow sounds like a rough few months for Peter Parker as “The 8 Deaths of Spider-Man” begins.
Marvel released the teaser earlier this week, with little information beside a creative team: Joe Kelly, Justina Ireland, Gleb Melnikov, and Ed McGuinness.
This isn’t Kelly’s first Amazing Spider-Man story, nor his first collaboration with McGuinness. Ireland meanwhile is a veteran author, but is still new to comics. She’s currently writing Spider-Man in Peter Parker’s Blood Hunt tie-in limited series though. As for Melnikov, the artist has made a name for himself at DC Comics, but outside of some fan art, this is his first Marvel Comics work.
What will happen in this story though? Who knows? Could Peter Parker get killed and resurrected over and over? Will 8 different Spider-Men die? Who knows, but Marvel promises more information soon.
