‘Karma’ Takes To BackerKit’s ComicTopia For Volume 2

by Erik Amaya

Karma, the erotically-charged graphic novel from writer Dan Wickline is back for a second volume.

Dynamite announced Thursday that the next Karma adventure is now crowdfunding on BackerKit via its ComicTopia program. Artist artist Carlos Reno returns from the first volume to help realize a new 120-page tale of Karma, an ambitious supermodel, and professional photographer Alex. Now in a relationship, the pair must navigate various upsets of life. Alex’s magazine gets a new direction, pulling him toward an unexpected path. It also strains things with Karma, but will a “child actor turned pop icon” upend everything?

“While I wrote this second volume months ago, seeing the growing relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has a lot of parallels here with Karma and Alex,” Wickline said in a statement. “Two people coming together is a very intimate and personal thing, but once the rest of the world finds out, a whole new kind of pressure gets added and we get to see how the new couple will handle it. Hopefully as well as Taylor and Travis seem to be.”

While there are plenty of bonus for pledging to the campaign, one of the key highlights are covers provide by  Stjepan Šejic, Mirka Andolfo, and Michael DiPascale. Those interested in securing a copy or helping the campaign can go to its landing page here.
