Reflector Entertainment Offers A Deep Dive Into The Gameplay Of ‘Unknown 9: Awakening’

Reflector Entertainment and Bandai-Namco have released a gameplay walkthrough of their upcoming action-adventure title, Unknown 9: Awakening. Narrated by the game’s director, Christophe Rossignol, the video jumps between multiple different combat encounters. Unknown 9‘s home page offers a bit more detail about the enemies and special techniques shown off in the trailer.

This is the most in-depth gameplay trailer we’ve gotten thus far, as the other trailers have mostly been about introducing us to the world and characters.  Going off this trailer, the big weakness of the game looks to be its’ melee–it lacks the sense of impact necessary for a combat-heavy game. On the flip side, the game’s combat looks engaging and strategic when protagonist Haroona uses her powers. If the powers are varied and fun enough, hopefully they can carry the game’s weak-looking melee?
