Thought Bubble 2024: More Guests Announced And Mid-Con Party Moved

Thought Bubble has announced its fifth wave of guests appearing at this year’s comic convention being held on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November at the Harrogate Convention centre, Harrogate.

Adding to the already impressive line-up are the following:

Multi-Eisner Award winning comic book creator Christian Ward (Batman: City of Madness, Invisible Kingdom, Blood Stained Teeth), Eisner-winning writer and illustrator Chip Zdarsky (Sex Criminals, Daredevil, Spider-Man: Life Story); acclaimed artist and writer Elsa Charretier (November, Love Everlasting),writer/artist Jamie McKelvie (The Wicked + The Divine, Captain Marvel, Catwoman: One Bad Day) and American comic writer and one of the founding creators of DSTLRY, Stephanie Phillips (Harley Quinn, Spider-Gwen, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight), artist Caspar Wijngaard (The Power Fantasy, Marvel Star Wars, Batman Detective), artist Dani (Tales from the Strips, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, Arkham City: The Order of the World) and writer/artist Declan Shalvey (Moon Knight, Thundercats, Alien, Batman) as well as Abigail J Harding, Al Davison, David Brothers, Emma Vieceli, George Manson, Greg Lockard, Hamish Steele, Ivana Filipovich, Jacob Phillips, Jens K Styve, John Allison, Juni Ba, Leo Fox, Lucy Sullivan, Luke Healy, Marcus To, Margaux Saltel, Nathan Stockman, Rachael Smith, Sarah Graley, Sean Phillips, Shazleen Khan, Sonia Leong, Tim Fish and Zara Slattery.

Plus, the mid-con party (which surprised a lot of us when it shut down at midnight, bringing a rather abrupt end to the night) will now be moved to Harrogate’s MOJO bar on the Saturday of this year’s convention. A three-storey venue, which looking from the website ain’t going to be cheap, but not as expensive as you’d think either. But, by the gods, the menu looks great!

Anyway, tickets are on sale now, and very reasonably priced. So, that’s something in what is becoming more and more a weekend that feels like it costs the same as an exotic faraway holiday for a week!
