Third-Person Extraction Shooter ‘Exoborne’ Gets A Gameplay Trailer
by Sage Ashford
Developer Sharkmob and Level Infinite have released a gameplay snippet for their upcoming post-apocalyptic, open-world extraction shooter, Exoborne. Originally announced during The Game Awards last year, everything around the title has been silent until recently, just in time for Gamescom next week. Hopefully potential fans can hear a bit more about the game then. We do know the basic premise: take a fancy exo-suit and explore a post-apocalyptic United States torn apart by the forces of nature, all in the hopes of finding new gear to survive against rival enemies.
In contrast to a lot of extraction games, Exoborne certainly seems unafraid to add as many chaotic elements as possible. It’s not just other players that are out to get you, but the weather itself tearing apart the environment, making it that much harder to escape with whatever loot players find.
Exoborne releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam in 2025.
