UniVersus Launches The Biggest ‘Attack On Titan’ CCG Set I Have Seen!

Attack on Titan was a sleeper hit for me. I had a roommate back when the series was first coming out who was very into the series. She constantly brought it up in conversation, but with the way work schedules and weekly games went, there was never really a chance for me to sit down and give it a watch.

Somewhere between Waffle House runs and rewatching Hellsing, though, the first few episodes of Attack on Titan got slipped in, and I quickly realized two things. The aforementioned roommate was into some really twisted stuff, and sword-slinging wire jumpers fighting horrific titans who are trying to end humanity for no really discernible reason is kind of a great plot for a show.

It’s also a fantastic theme for a trade card deck and my pals over at UniVersus are masters of applying cool themes to a rad collectible card game.

Attack on Titan: Battle for Humanity is a rad new series of cards from UniVersus, featuring characters from the show and manga. This set has a full suite of new products, including UniVersus’ first double-sided cards and a set collection that has nearly 300 cards in all.

UniVersus is also supporting this new set with a slew of playmats that allow you to really dive into your fandom finding a playmat and style that works for you.

This set also includes 6 different Hajime Isayama Character Chrome Cards. Chrome Rares are the most coveted of the UniVersus pulls. With only 100 copies of each in existence and their unique serial number stamped on the front of the cards, every single Chrome Rare is wholly unique. The monochrome art style, layered textures, and now Hajime Isayama’s own signature all work together to ensure that collectors have one of the most coveted collector’s pieces in not only the game but in the whole Attack on Titan fandom.

This set also has some spectacular unique manga artwork cards that showcase new abilities and key moments from the series adding to the collectability factor for this series.

All in all this is one heck of a release from UniVersus and I can’t wait to crack a few packs and see if I can score any of these limited cards.
