Falcom Announces Remake Of ‘Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Sky’

During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, Falcom might’ve had the biggest surprise of all, as they announced a remake to their classic JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Entitled Trails in the Sky the 1st, this looks to be a complete 3D remake, although right now fans don’t have much information to go on.
The Trails franchise has long been a hard sell in the West — even for fans of most JRPGs — as the games are tightly interconnected, so even jumping on points like Trails through Daybreak can be tough for the uninitiated. It’s a large part of why Falcom President Toshihiro Kondo has been hinting at a potential remake announcement for months now. Perhaps now Trails can experience the kind of break through Persona and Yakuza have?
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st releases in 2025. Currently, no platforms besides the Nintendo Switch have been confirmed.
