Meet Axo & Melee In ‘Exceptional X-Men’ #2 Preview

This past week, we saw the debut of the Exceptional X-Men, as Kitty Pryde saved a young mutant girl’s life. The issue was a hit, and Marvel is looking forward to the second issue with an unlettered preview.
The Kitty Pryde-led series from Eve Ewing, Carmen Carnero and Nolan Woodard promises to see Kitty and Emma Frost training and leading a new team of X-Men, being joined by Iceman in issue #4. On October 9, the second issue hits and introduces the other two of the series’ new cast members- Axo the empath and Melee the invisible girl.
In the unlettered preview, readers get to meet Melee and Axo. Meanwhile Kitty continues to work on her mental health. The series was definitely the most thoughtful and character focused of the launches so far. We’re bought in so far, even if we have broader thoughts on the line as a whole.
In addition to the preview, Marvel has announced a second printing for Exceptional X-Men #1, also arriving on October 9.
