New Marvel Heroes Assemble To Save The World This January

About a year ago, Marvel Comics introduced the New Champions, a group of young apprentice superheroes that were frankly kind of just What if’s for a series of variant covers. Or were they?
In a new teaser released yesterday, it appears Marvel is going back to those concepts for a new title in January.
This is not the first time these characters have appeared in the Marvel Universe since their introductions. Cadet Marvel, Hellrune, Titan, Moon Squire and Liberty all were featured as a new team called the Assembly in the final arc of the just-concluded Spider-Woman series. That quintet turned out to be a group of innocent kids given powers and manipulated by Hydra and the Gremlin — a long-defunct Hulk villain who was impersonating the Hulk-like Titan.
The surviving four members of the Assembly are all present here, as is Fantasma, the young roller-derby Ghost Rider, and two others: a Black Panther apprentice and the young witch Amaranth, about to make her debut in Scarlet Witch.
It all sounds like an interesting take on the Marvel Universe, but it makes us wonder about some other young heroes who have taken a recent back seat, like Power Man, White Tiger, and Sam Alexander, Nova.
