Advance Preview: ‘Spector: Incorruptible’ – A New Detective Coming To Clean Up The Future In Carlos Ezquerra’s Final Work

Out in April 2025, Spector‘s a classic 2000 AD thing, future cop here to clean up the corrupt police department of the future…

First of all, a word about that spectacularly good Dan Cornwell cover there. One man attempting to clean up the city indeed, and a great image from Cornwell of the man as the place. Absolutely gorgeous thing.

As for Spector, it was a Carlos Ezquerra concept for many years before he and his frequent collaborator, John Wagner, started the work of making it a reality. Sadly, it was the final work of the classic Dredd/Strontium Dog team of Wagner and Ezquerra, with King Carlos completing the first two chapters of this one before he passed in 2018. Stepping into shoes he’d always tell you were way too big to fill, we have Dan Cornwell, doing an admirable job of continuing and finishing this one.

But those first 20 pages of King Carlos art are just as magnificent as you’d expect, with the book itself acting as something of a tribute to the incredible career of one of the finest artists…
