‘Ballad Of Antara’ Offers Up A Slick Gameplay Showcase

Revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play earlier this year, free-to-play action-RPG Ballad of Antara has a new gameplay showcase, courtesy of TipsWorks and Infold Games. At nearly fifteen minutes long, the showcase provides ample glimpses of combat and environment, and even some minor story beats as well.
According to Infold Games, Ballad of Antara takes place in a world where the “essences” of the world have been taken away by a strange Mist. Players will have to travel into the alternate world known as the Para to recover the “essences” of the land and restore the planet to normal. Sounds exciting, even though the free to play aspect raises plenty of questions as to how monetization will work. Like Genshin Impact, they’re also promising things like post-launch updates, which tends to become quite expensive for developers and players both. For now, it’s certainly gorgeous to look at, at least.
Ballad of Antara is launching in 2025 for iOS and Android, PC, and PlayStation 5.
