Crunchyroll’s Fall 2024 Anime Lineup Continues The Heat

Summer is coming to an end, but that isn’t going to stop Crunchyroll from bringing the heat into Fall! Their Autumn 2024 anime lineup is bringing in over 40 new, returning, and ongoing series to the online streaming service. There are some huge hits this Fall and you definitely don’t want to miss them! There are so many incredible anime releasing this season that I do not think I will be able to fit them all so read to the end this month!
This first one we are talking about today is special for many many reasons and holds the hearts of millions around the world. Goku returns for another incredible adventure with his friends in Dragon Ball Daima which is premiering October 11th. With the truly sad passing of Akira Toriyama this year, we take in and appreciate the love and care that the Daima team is bringing. This series commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball manga’s serialization. Check out the anime premier and stick around for the new exciting adventure with Goku and friends.
Next up: a shonen special treat perfect for October! Do you believe in Aliens or Ghosts? Maybe both? Welcome to the world of DAN DA DAN, a series full of the occult, paranormal, and the strange. When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue — Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world. DAN DA DAN also features one of my personal favorite anime openings of the fall season so check it out!
Last in the top 3 here, let’s talk about a personal favorite, Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2. As a huge fan of isekais and Sword Art as a whole, I am very excited for this long awaited second season! Now, the group finds themselves entering a new battle royale death match tournament that was announced out of the blue. LPFM is eyed as the top favorite candidate team to win, but the team will have to endure several rigorous ordeals to get there: a playing field that sinks into the ocean with the passage of time, an [UNKNOWN] area hidden in the middle of the map, and an anonymous team conspiracy. In addition to all of this, all players will have to follow some shocking special rules if they want to play the game and win.
