The Turtle Moves Also! — The ‘Discworld’ TTRPG Launches Soon

Welcome to the table,
I love books. I surround myself with them in every aspect of my life. Gaming books, comic books, novels, art books, history books, cookbooks… I just love books. When you love something in that way, it is hard to nail down what your favorite is.
There are so many great stories, stats, panels, and recipes that my mind gets a little squishy when I try to think about things like “favorite” in regards to a book. My answer though, when asked that question, has been the same for the last decade or so. That answer is The Fifth Elephant by Terry Pratchett.
It’s not stuffed with stats or filled with large concepts that would make an amazing blockbuster movie. What it does have is a ton of heart and the most endearing characters in fiction in my humble opinion. Vimes and his watch, his wife Sybal, and the other inhabitants of Discworld are like toasted cheese or really well-made pizza. They are comfort, they are always welcomed, and they never disappoint.
So, I am stoked to say that on October 15th, 2024, we are getting the kick-off of Mōdipiüs’s Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork TTRPG. Pratchett’s world of wizards, thieves, time monks, invisible dragons, witches, sentient luggage, gargoyles, a guy who sells questionable sausages, and so much more is coming to your table in a brand new RPG experience.
Not only are they pushing out a rad new TTRPG, they are also releasing a Quickstart Guide that will give us a sneak peek into the system and setting we can expect from the game. This free guide will include sample characters, quick rules, and a ready-to-play adventure set in the heart of the Discworld.

Until next time, as someone who owns all but one of the Discworld novels, some in triplicate (all displayed proudly in the bedroom, the only books that are in the bedroom actually), I will be talking about this as I get more info.
