Capcom Invites Newcomers To ‘Monster Hunter Wilds’ With A Beginner’s Guide

Monster Hunter is on its way back with Monster Hunter Wilds, and Capcom has released a near twelve minute “beginner’s guide” to bring everyone in. The trailer offers the basics of the game’s story, involving a group traveling into the Forbidden Lands to investigate the White Wraith monster and rescue a group known as the Keepers. Also featured is an introduction to the characters in Monster Hunter Wilds, a look at some of the environments in the Forbidden Lands, and some of the basics to hunting monsters.
Much of this is going to appeal largely to newcomers, but some of the finer details of how Wilds differs from previous Monster Hunter titles is also contained within.
There’s also an “extended kut” of the fourth trailer shown off during PlayStation’s State of Play, providing a deeper look at the story and characters, as well as other environments. More importantly, players can get a look at the returning Yian Kut-Ku.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam on February 28th.
