‘Blazing Saddles,’ ‘North by Northwest’ and ‘The Terminator’ Finally Arrive on 4K UHD In November

Cameron, Hitchcock, and Brooks may sound like a high-quality law firm, but we’re actually talking about three of the most influential Hollywood filmmakers of all time, and all three of them have films making their debut on 4K UHD courtesy of Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. Let’s take a look at them chronologically:
Alfred Hitchcock‘s breathless cross-country chase thriller, North by Northwest, starring Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint, is celebrating its 65th anniversary.
Directed by Mel Brooks, the Oscar-nominated 1974 western spoof, Blazing Saddles is celebrating 50 years of “how did they get away with that?” humor, starring Gene Wilder, Cleavon Little, and Madeline Kahn.
Before we lost him to AI and endless Avatar sequels, James Cameron made his breakthrough forty years ago with 1984’s The Terminator. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular cyborg sent back in time to stop a human resistance before it even begins — and also launch a never ending series of sequels, prequels, and spin-offs.
All three films are making their debut on 4K UHD and will arrive on disc and digital on November 19th. Extra features to be announced soon.
Meanwhile, also celebrating anniversaries and set for 4K re-release are The Wizard of Oz (85 years young), and the runt of the litter, The Polar Express, only celebrating a measly 2oth anniversary. Both films will be available in new editions on November 5th.
