Lucille Ball’s Iconic TV Comedy ‘I Love Lucy: The Complete Series’ Will Finally Make Its Blu-ray Debut

Honey, I’m home! And I’m on Blu-ray! That’s right, folks, the classic TV sitcom I Love Lucy is set to make its Blu-ray debut later this year.
The groundbreaking series stars Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo and her real-life spouse, Desi Arnaz, as her husband Ricky, who find themselves in an endless cycle of domestic mischief, usually involving neighbors Ethel and Fred Mertz (Vivian Vance and William Frawley). The series debuted in October, 1951, and has endured as one of the most-watched TV shows of all time.
I Love Lucy: The Complete Series includes all 194 episodes from the six seasons of the initial series, which ran from 1951 to 1957. The set will also contain all 13 episodes of The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour (1957-1960), a newly colorized version of the “Lucy and the Loving Cup” episode from season 6, and a number of new extra features.
New bonus features include the original opening and closing credits, cast commercials, and three “flashback” scenes, all newly remastered. Plus, the home video premiere of a 1959 CBS fall preview special starring Ball and Vance. Previous special features being ported over to the latest release include the original I Love Lucy pilot, I Love Lucy: The Movie, bloopers, audio commentaries on select episodes, and more.
I Love Lucy: The Complete Series will be available November 5th.
