Jumping On: Series Premieres, One-Shots, And Series Premieres Kicking Off On October 9, 2024

One of the most frustrating things about finding new comics to read and enjoy is finding a good jumping on point. It can be confusing and disheartening to pick up a single issue from the middle of an arc without having the context of the previous chapters.

With that in mind, here are a few New Story Arcs, Series Premieres, and One-Shots that caught my eye for this upcoming New Comic Book Day, Wednesday, October 9th, 2024.

Day of the Dead Girl #1, Magma Comix

Death is never  the end  of  the  story.  Coroner Sam Castillo learns this the hard way  when  a  supernatural serial killer targets her hometown. A woman  of  science, Sam butts heads with her   spiritual  mother  Ana, a leader of a witch coven specializing in Brujeria.

Absolute Batman #1, DC

No money. No mansion. No butler. Just the Absolute Dark Knight.
