The Flaming Carrot is pretty good with unlikely cameos … and this time, he’s helping Sweetie Candy Vigilante close out its second volume.
Dynamite announced Monday that the legendary indie comics character, created by Bob Burden, will appear in the final issue of Sweetie Candy Vigilante Vol. 2. Additionally, Burden will be providing a cover. Inside, readers will take a trek to the Fortress of Sweetness where Pixie Stix, Gummee Bear, Tinsel await the revelation Candy Wolf has been sitting on: Sweetie’s situation with jolly ol’ Saint Nic. But is he really that nice a guy? As always, the tale comes courtesy of writer Suzanne Cafiero, producer John Cafiero, and artist Thiago Vale. The company says it is both a wrap-up of the second volume and a “one-and-done” perfect for anyone new to Sweetie’s adventures.
Oh, but what about FC? Without spilling the goods, Dynamite states his appearance in the pages of the issue ties closely into the story and marks his first major crossover since he teamed up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles.
In addition to Burden’s cover, John Royle, Jeff Zornow, and Yonami all contribute their own variants.
Sweetie Candy Vigilante Vol. 2 #6 is due out this holiday season.
