NYCC 2024: Hasbro Makes You Feel Nostalgic With Latest G.I. Joe Classified Series Retro Cardback Figures

Hasbro has been hitting the convention circuit, including San Diego Comic-Con and its own Hasbro Pulse Con, to reveal some of their upcoming products. Their latest stop was at New York Comic Con where they hosted Hasbro’s Action Brands Panel. There was exciting news across their various brands including G.I. Joe.

The biggest highlight regarding G.I. Joe was the announcement of three new figures in the Classified Series line. All three sport the retro cardback making many longtime collectors feel nostalgic.

The first figure is the G.I. Joe Classified Series Retro Cardback Dr. Mindbender. He comes with an assortment of weapons and his cape is pretty nice with the fabric texture and the COBRA symbol on the back. Sure he enjoys scrambling brains as his name indicates, but he’s also a little sadistic. What do you expect from a guy who used to be an orthodontist.

Next we have G.I. Joe Classified Series Retro Cardback Cobra Viper. He has a pair of assault weapons, a pistol, and several additional pairs of hands. It’s nice that his goggles are a separate accessory rather than molded onto the figure.

Finally, we can’t leave without spotlighting a good guy. G.I. Joe Classified Series Retro Cardback Craig “Rock ‘N Roll” McConnell is equipped with some serious firepower. He has a heavy machine gun and plenty of ammo to ensure he doesn’t run out during a firefight.
