Strategy RPG ‘Metal Slug Tactics’ Releases November 5

The Metal Slug universe goes strategy RPG with Metal Slug Tactics, which finally has a release date. Just three years after its announcement, developer Leikir Studio has revealed the game will release on November 5th. Along with this announcement comes confirmation of three new characters — the Ikari Warriors crew, featuring Clark Still, Ralf Jones, and Leona Heidern. Each character comes with their own unique ability: Clark can hurl enemies across the map, Ralf focuses on short-range damage, and Leona can replace fallen allies with decoys.

A strategy RPG take on a classic run-and-gun franchise, Metal Slug Tactics invites players to try out its unique strategy combat with a roguelike twist. It’s a cool way to revitalize some old-school arcade characters, with gorgeous art that feels like a pixelated Jagged Alliance.  November’s a busy month, but hopefully the game will find its place.

Metal Slug Tactics launches on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
