Aspyr Shows Off Bosses From ‘Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered’
by Sage Ashford
Aspyr Media revealed some new info for their upcoming Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered title, along with a glimpse at several of the game’s bosses in the remastered mode. The developer spoke to the PlayStation Blog, where they delved into some of the changes they had to do for the bosses, ranging from texture clean-ups to completely remodeling some designs. Raziel’s main enemy, Kain, has been completely re-designed, bringing him closer in line with how he appeared in the original title’s FMVs. That said, those aren’t the only changes the game has undergone.
Aspyr’s also added a new map and compass system to help the player navigate the spectral realms. There’s also a collection tracker to give players a hint as to whether they’ve gathered all the health and energy power-ups. They’re the kind of quality of life inclusions players might want to see, but if they don’t want them the options allow players to turn them all off. It’s a good midway point so both new and old players can feel comfortable giving the game a shot.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered launches December 10th for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
