Square Enix Premieres ‘Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake’ Launch Trailer

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake spent the last few months in radio silence, but it looks like Square Enix is finally ready to talk about it just a few weeks from release, as they’ve premiered a new launch trailer.
Of course, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake re-imagines the classic Dragon Quest III, the beginning of the ‘Erdrick Trilogy’ (although the earlier games are, story-wise, later installments). The game is set sixteen years after the great hero, Ortega, failed to defeat the Archfiend, Baramos. With the threat of Baramos more dangerous than ever, Ortega’s child is called on to finish what his father began.
This is, of course, the first of a series of Dragon Quest remakes, as Dragon Quest I&II HD Remake is scheduled to launch next year, finishing off the Erdrick cycle.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake launches November 14th on Steam, Microsoft Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
