Funko Is Popping Off With More Delightful ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Offerings

by Anton Kromoff

Welcome to the table,

I have gone out of my way to grab almost every Dungeons & Dragons Funko POP! I have been able to find. It got to the point during the height of COVID that we ordered Xanathar from a store in Australia and it ended up mailed to an old house and then we had to track it down in a very wild weekend of “Did you get my beholder?” sort of way.

All that to say, your old pal Anton loves Dungeons & Dragons and happily displays all of my D&D POP!s on the shelves along side my D&D books. So I am stoked that we are getting even more of them soon!

Fist on the stack are the Drizzt & Guenhwyvar 2 pack. Having everyone’s favorite Drow Elf and Magical Pather in Pop! form is kinda epic and this two pack lets you grab both of them in an single package.

Next up is the Lady of Pain. I love seeing this icon get her own little Pop! This weirdly enigmatic ruler of Sigil is powerful enough to keep the gods from entering her city — or at the least exerting power over it — but at the same time she is distant and only really gets involved when something could disrupt the balance of her city of doors. It’s a really neat pull and with Vecna having seen Pop form and then being centered as a major villain, even more so than he already was, I have to imagine that this little plastic figure means something more is coming.

Are you seeing this? This is a Super Pop! of Icingdeath. Why is this weird? Well because “Icingdeath” is a dragon named Ingelokastimizilian. It’s also the name of the magical scimitar that Dritzt wields for a good portion of his adventures. He named the sword that he found in Ingelokastimizilian’s hoard after the nickname that some called Ingelokastimizilian: “Icingdeath.” This is a very specific dragon and with this much attention paid to him, I have to think they are positioning things to showcase more of everyone’s favorite Drow and his companions.

Okay, I love this one but it has me scratching my head because the shear size this Gelationus Cibe needs to be in order to have a Dracolitch inside is nothing short of horrifying. So, the Gelatinous Cube with Dracolitch, available exclusively at GameStop, is purple — adding to the green and blue Gelatinous Cube Funko Pop! that are already on the market. This thing is diabolical because it’s purple, and inside there is a Dracolitch. Now a Dracolitch is a Dragon who has grown old, powerful, and bound its soul to a physical relic so it can continue to muck about being an absolute menace long after it should have died. Normally, a dragon who has come into enough power to pull off the rituals needed to do this are very large, we are talking around 85ft in length. So for this wad of purple slime to be able cube around it like it’s some fruit in your grandma’s Sunday salad means this freaking wad of weird is massive! Granted, the Funko Pop! form is normal size but still … it’s super rad we are getting this and I hope they start sticking more random elements into multi colored cubes for my shelf.

All of these rad little things are going to be on sale starting January 1st, 2025. I already have a reminder so I can scoop them up as soon as they are ready to go.

Until next time, a fiendish fake flubber that feeds on dread dragons … man that is Diabolically Delightful!
