Join Bishop For A Glimpse At Marvel Comics’ Future In ‘Timeslide’ #1 First Look

Marvel’s annual tradition of giving readers a glance at the next year’s stories is shifting a bit. After getting glimpses of the far future, two of the key X-Men are taking the reins in Timeslide.
Coming from Steve Foxe and Ivan Fiorelli, Bishop and Cable are visited by a fellow time traveling X-Man, with a dire warning. The two rivals are forced to take action to save the future. In doing so, it appears that at least Bishop gets a glance at that future alongside Tempus.
Taking a look at what we can see in this teaser, there aren’t tons of clues that aren’t censored. Many of these are ones we’ve at least gotten teases about- There’s a glance at New Champion Moon Squire. Doctor Doom looms over the entire page. The distant future Power Man makes a reappearance from last year’s Timeless special and then there’s Peter Parker’s Doom-created armor for 8 Deaths of Spider-Man. Lastly, there’s Cable, who could be a tease for something else happening this special, his upcoming miniseries, or the just announced Weapon X-Men.
However, the last three are ones that haven’t been teased at all. First, there’s Dormammu. It could be linked to Doom, sure, but there’s a variety of other places one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel Universe could show up. Then there’s the Hulk seemingly reverted to his World War Hulk/World Breaker persona. That’s a possible end point for the current Incredible Hulk run, but that doesn’t totally fit with the story being told there. And lastly, there’s She-Hulk, who’s striking a pose without giving any hints whatsoever. Hey, hopefully that means she’s the lead of a new series- team or solo.
Watch for Timeslide, scheduled to be released on Christmas day from Marvel Comics.
