‘SilverHawks’ #2 Covers Give Bluegrass His Due

by Erik Amaya

While all of the Hawks — and a curious take on Mon*Star — get feature spots on the covers for Dynamite’s SilverHawks #2, pilot Bluegrass definitely gets a prominent position on several of the variants. They come courtesy of artists Lucio Parrillo, Jae Lee, James Stokoe, Geraldo Borges, Ivan Tao, Lesley “Leirix” Li, Manix Abrera, and David Cousens. Check them out in the gallery below:

Inside, issue #2 continues writer Ed Brisson and artist George Kambadais‘s new take on the early days of the SilverHawks’ time in Limbo. Mon*Star’s prison escape has scuppered Stargazer’s plan to retire and forced him to put the SilverHawks program back on track. The prison break also inspired other criminals to give the forces of law and order a run for their money. Bluegrass and Hotwing learn about this when they discover Mon*Star meeting with their current employer, Poker-Face. Now, they must escape from the casino and let the other Hawks know Poker-Face is a two-face. Meanwhile, will Stargazer be able to convince a critically injured Quicksilver to rejoin the team?

SilverHawks #2 is scheduled for release on February 26th.
