Jumping On: Series Premieres, One-Shots, And New Story Arcs Kicking Off On November 27, 2024

One of the most frustrating things about finding new comics to read and enjoy is finding a good jumping on point. It can be confusing and disheartening to pick up a single issue from the middle of an arc without having the context of the previous chapters.

I’m a sucker for Batman crossovers. Batman and Santa? If they found a way to cram zombies in there, too, it’d be a damn near perfect solicit. 

Santa comes to the aid of the DCU heroes in the crossover-event sequel you wished for! And you must have been extra good because a wintry mix of DC’s wildest characters arrive this time to face a powerful foe… the Silent Knight!

Synap #1, Mad Cave Studios

UFOs and ancient mysterious giant robots controlled by psychically gifted kids? Yes. I want all of that. 

In the year 2030, a family-run private defense company, Synap, secretly puts together the pieces of a mysterious giant robot while training psychically gifted individuals to one day control it. However, with the startling increase in UFO sightings, the family finds their time is running out to assemble the ancient machine.

Dead Samurai #1, Wake Entertainment

I am not familiar with this publisher, but the solicit promises 18th century feudal Japan, rogue ronin samurai, bandits, and cannibalistic zombies. It’s like they’ve been reading my diary. 

A samurai named Shinzu must escort the only surviving member of his master’s clan to safety in a world besieged by bandits, rogue ronin samurai, and the ever-present zombie hordes.
