During this year’s Game Awards, Netmarble and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a trailer announcing a new game based off of a popular franchise. Fans of Westeros received their first peeks at Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.

The title is currently in development for mobile, but the developers are also keeping the option open for other platforms. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad takes place at the beginning of television series’ fourth season. It is an all-new story centered around a protagonist who becomes heir to the House of Tyre, a small noble house in the North.

There is an extensive character creator for a high level of customization, along with three classes to initially choose from: Sellsword, Knight, or Assassin. Each class has unique combat styles and traits that must be mastered in order to succeed in tasks and advance. While trying to cement their legacy, players will be involved in larger Westerosi issues and conflicts, such as political infighting and the looming threat from beyond the Wall. The Kingsroad might be challenging to traverse, but those brave and strong enough to take this journey will reap the rewards.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will launch in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania and the Middle East in 2025.
