Marvel Comics Celebrates ‘Marvel Rivals’ With New Comics And RPG Add Ons

Marvel Rivals is taking the gaming world by storm. To celebrate the release of the game, Marvel Comics is going all out.
The Overwatch-like team shooter is a hit. It’s turning characters like Cloak & Dagger, Jeff the Land Shark and Luna Snow into fan favorites, while featuring the usual superstars like Wolverine and Spider-Man. It’s probably the most buzzed about game of the year, and it hit in November.
Available now on Marvel Unlimited, Marvel Rivals is a weekly Infinity Comic set in the world of the game, featuring Spider-Man, Venom, Jeff and more. Coming from Paul Allor & Luca Claretti, the story features high octane brawls, team ups and more from across the Marvel Multiverse, hitting the streets of Tokyo 2099. Even better, all subscribers to Marvel Unlimited — as long as you register before December 25th, 2024 — will receive an exclusive Jeff cosmetic for the game.
In addition to getting new stories inspired by the game, fans will also get the chance to experience living as their favorite characters from the Marvel Rivals roster. As a special free expansion to the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game on December 20th, 2024, Marvel is releasing free character sheets for 12 different Marvel Rivals heroes including Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, Luna Snow, and more, along with a new Yggsard Royal Palace play map, plus a new game mode inspired by Marvel Rivals’ Domination game mode.
The new game mode features quick and easy rules on how to jump into the action, and can be played in several different ways. All downloads will be available for free only on Marvel.com/rpg. To play the game and embody their own characters, all fans need are some dice, a group of friends to play, and the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game Core Rulebook.
