‘The Count Of Monte-Cristo’ Embraces Gritty Realism For Its Film Adaptation

The Count of Monte-Cristo is a seminal work of literature by Alexandre Dumas. The story follows a man who is wrongfully imprisoned, manages to escape, and returns as the mysterious Count of Monte-Cristo to enact his revenge. After the really stellar adaptation of The Three Musketeers, I’m thrilled that we’re being treated to another film in the same vein. Look out for the The Count of Monte-Cristo in the near future.
